I think your problem is a combination between your rearbreak compensator and maybe your master. The compensator on mine started too leak some time ago and i just bypassed the pipes, the result was lower pedal and the rear wheels lock up first if i brake to hard

It's easy to just replace the mk1 servo and mc with one from a mk2 gti

You need a 8" servo from any MK2 Gti (if you have room for the larger diameter) with a MK2 16v M/C atleast!

But if you are using the 312mm 4mo brakes with vented rears then even the 16v M/C will struggle. You might be better off modifying one from an Audi or something to fit

dam more problems al , right , just a thought will a mk3 vr6 master fit onto the caddy servo , as if it will , they have discs front and rear and with rear conpansators ,and would also save time re makeing the header tank

mk3 ones will fit the 4 bolt pattern but the bit that joins the brake linkage needs to be cut off and threaded, easiest way is mk2 gti,

B3 passat servo's are the same as mk2's also.

A VR6 with ABS M/C will fit the mk2 servo, this has a larger bore again.

If you are going to go to the hassle of modifying the rod then mate and audi one fit. forget 80s and the like, you wanna be looking at A6's & A8s and bigger engine A4s
